An Angel By Her Side

Cathy Colbert designed this invitation for a bride who will be marring a "Angel”. Mr Angel that is!
To play up on that, she designed angel wings and added a beautiful poem about them.
The brides colors were brown and baby pink. So she used different metallic pink papers against a dark, luscious brown to really make the elements pop. Then she placed the formal invitation on a bed of sparkling white tissue paper and feathers,
Heavenly don't you think! www.1stimpressionsinvitations.com

First Dance Cards by Cathy Colbert

Cathy is passionate about every project she take on, from the design and creation, to the personal connection she creates with each client. "I try to really understand my client's needs and background." Her goal is to create a client's ideal stationary: a one-of-a-kind, won't-find-it-elsewhere invitation or announcement, while taking the potentially overwhelming task of creating such an item and making it as stress-free as she can. Each project is a blank canvas, an opportunity to create something completely new."I enjoy the challenge of stepping out of the box, creating something beautiful, fun, funky, different: whatever the client's heart desires. I am dedicated to my clients, integrity in business, and quality of work."

Thanks for stopping by the gallery and joining us!

Calligrapher Jane Parillo of Scribe has joined The Newport Wedding Gallery

Jane Parillo began studying the art of calligraphy in 1980, after having finished two years of graduate school. The class, which was “for fun” and intended to serve as a relaxing treat after a grueling couple of years, lit the fire for what has now become a lifelong passion. Jane’s calligraphic services are the perfect choice for addressing envelopes, social invitations, program and menu designs, custom wedding invitations, escort cards, placecards, seating scrolls, and matching table numbers.
In addition to her bridal/social service, Jane also enjoys creating one-of-a-kind pieces of original artwork. Commissions are always welcome.
